3. How We Use Your Information
We use personal information for the following purposes:

- Improve our Services: Analytics, bug fixing, product development, testing and performance monitoring.

- Communications: To send service messages, security alerts, transactional emails (account verification, billing receipts), and marketing communications where you have opted in.
- Legal, safety & compliance: To respond to legal requests, protect rights, investigate fraud, maintain safety and security.
- Research & aggregated insights: De-identified, aggregated data may be used for research, statistical analysis, or shared with partners in aggregated form that does not identify individuals.
We will not use your personal data for purposes materially different from those described in this Policy without notifying you and, where required, obtaining your consent.
4. Legal Basis for Processing (If GDPR / UK GDPR Applies)
If you are an EU/UK data subject, our legal bases for processing your personal data include:
- Performance of a contract: To provide the Services you requested.
- Consent: When you give explicit consent — for example, for processing health/sensitive data, for marketing communications, and for advertising measurement and tracking via the App Tracking Transparency prompt. You may withdraw consent at any time.
- Legitimate interests: For fraud prevention, product improvement, aggregated analytics and security, balanced against your privacy rights.
- Legal obligations: To comply with applicable laws and respond to lawful requests from authorities.
5. Sensitive Data & Explicit Consent
Health-related or other sensitive personal data will only be processed where you have given explicit consent (opt-in) and after we provide clear information about how that data will be used. You may withdraw consent at any time via your account settings; withdrawal will not affect processing already lawfully completed. Sensitive and health data is never shared with advertising or measurement partners.
6. Sharing & Disclosure of Personal Information
We may share personal information in the following limited circumstances:
- Service providers & processors: Third-party vendors who perform services on our behalf (hosting, analytics, payment processing, push notifications, customer support). We require them to maintain appropriate safeguards.
- Advertising & measurement partners: Where you have granted permission, we share advertising and app-event data (such as your advertising identifier, device identifiers, and app installs/in-app actions) with advertising and analytics partners, including Meta Platforms, Inc. (Facebook), to measure, attribute, and optimize our advertising. See Section 8.
- Legal & safety: To comply with lawful requests, court orders, or to prevent fraud, security breaches, or illegal activities.
- Business transfers: In connection with a merger, acquisition, reorganization, sale of assets, financing, or during due diligence. We will notify affected users where required by law.
- Aggregated / de-identified data: We may share anonymized, aggregated data that cannot reasonably be used to identify an individual.
- With your consent: We may share personal data with your explicit consent (for example, sharing a health report with a clinician or family member).
We do not sell your personal data for money. However, when you consent to tracking, our disclosure of advertising identifiers and app-event data to advertising partners such as Meta may be considered “sharing” for cross-context behavioral advertising (or a “sale”) under certain U.S. state privacy laws, such as the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA/CPRA). You can opt out of this at any time — see Section 8 and Section 13.
7. Third-Party Services & Links
The Services may integrate with or link to third-party services (for example, Meta (Facebook), analytics vendors, social login providers, payment processors, and cloud providers). These third parties have their own privacy practices and we encourage you to review their policies. Tracevita is not responsible for third-party practices or content.
8. Advertising, Attribution & App Tracking Transparency (ATT)
We use the Meta (Facebook) SDK within the Tracevita app to measure the performance of our advertising and to understand how users discover and use the app. Through this SDK we may collect and share with Meta Platforms, Inc. the following:
- Your device’s advertising identifier (IDFA) and other device identifiers;
- App-activity and event data, such as app installs and certain in-app actions; and
- Limited technical data such as IP address.
This data is used to attribute app installs to advertising campaigns, measure ad performance, and (where permitted) deliver and optimize relevant ads.
Your control on iOS 14 and later. Before we use your advertising identifier to track you, we ask for your permission through Apple’s App Tracking Transparency (ATT) prompt.
- If you decline, we do not use your advertising identifier to track you across apps and websites, and we instruct the SDK accordingly.
- You can change your choice at any time in iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking.
- Even where you decline, limited, privacy-preserving measurement may still occur through Apple’s SKAdNetwork, which reports aggregated campaign results to us and to Meta without identifying you individually.
For more information on how Meta processes this data, see Meta’s Privacy Policy at https://www.facebook.com/privacy/policy/.
9. Cookies, Tracking & Analytics
We and our partners use cookies and similar technologies to provide and improve the Services, deliver personalized content, and analyze usage. Types of cookies include:
- Strictly necessary cookies: Required for core app functionality.
- Performance & analytics cookies: To collect usage data and crash reports.
- Functional cookies: To remember preferences and settings.
You may manage cookie preferences in-app or via your device settings. Advertising-related tracking is additionally governed by Section 8. Disabling certain cookies may affect app functionality.
10. Data Retention
We retain personal data only for as long as necessary to fulfil the purposes described in this policy, to comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. Typical retention periods:
- Account data and profile information: retained while the account is active and for up to 1 year after account closure for legitimate business purposes and legal compliance.
- Health / activity logs: retained for 1 year depending on user settings (you may be offered options to export or delete your historical data).
- Support records and communications: retained for 1 year for audit and customer service.
- Advertising / attribution data: retained only as long as needed for campaign measurement, then deleted or de-identified; data shared with Meta is also subject to Meta’s own retention practices.
- Aggregated / anonymized data: retained indefinitely for analytics and research.
11. Data Security
We implement technical and organizational measures to protect personal data from unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, and destruction, including:
- Encryption of data in transit (TLS) and (where applicable) at rest;
- Access controls, role-based permissions, and secure authentication;
- Regular security testing and monitoring; and
- Incident response procedures.
However, no system is completely secure. In the event of a data breach that materially affects you, we will notify you and the relevant authorities as required by law.
12. Cross-Border Transfers
Tracevita operates in multiple jurisdictions and may transfer or store your personal data outside your country of residence (for example, on cloud servers in the United Kingdom, or with service providers in the United States / EU). Where transfers occur, we will ensure appropriate safeguards (e.g., standard contractual clauses, adequacy decisions) are in place as required by law.
13. Your Rights & Choices
Where applicable law provides rights, you may have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you;
- Rectify inaccurate or incomplete data;
- Erase your personal data (right to be forgotten) in certain circumstances;
- Restrict or object to processing for specific purposes;
- Data portability — receive a copy of your personal data in a commonly used format;
- Withdraw consent where processing is based on consent;
- Opt out of tracking and “sharing” for advertising — you can do this at any time through the App Tracking Transparency prompt or via iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking (see Section 8);
- Complain to a supervisory authority if you believe your rights are breached.
California residents may exercise the right to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information as described in Section 8. To exercise these rights, please contact us at support@tracevita.com. We may verify your identity before responding. We will respond to requests in accordance with applicable law.

If we learn that we have collected personal data from a child without appropriate consent, we will take steps to delete the data.
15. Marketing Communications
If you opt in to receive marketing communications (newsletters, promotions), you can opt out at any time by following unsubscribe instructions in the message or updating your settings in the app. We will not send marketing messages without your consent where consent is required by law.
16. Changes to this Privacy Policy
